The Summit on the Park will close for its Annual Maintenance Shutdown Monday, September 3 at noon and will re-open on Saturday, September 8 at 6 a.m.

Canton Do Good Expo

Join area residents, students, and local non-profits on September 11, the National Day of Service and Remembrance, to celebrate and connect with individuals and organizations who help make a difference in our community during the First Annual Do Good Expo. This free event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Summit on the Park Banquet Center, located at 46000 Summit Parkway in Canton, MI. Participants can also take part in hands-on community service projects, join in a special donation drive and learn about local volunteer opportunities. The B.L.O.C.K. Youth and Teen Center

B.L.O.C.K. Youth and Teen Center

Canton’s popular After-School and Summer program is available to all teens ages 11-17 and features daily programming, tutoring, outreach, and recreation opportunities. This unique teen center encourages teens to gain hands-on experience with activities such as teen TV, cooking, music, art, youth and teen council, and much more. The most impressive part of the program is witnessing the growth and confidence in each of its participants. For a tour and more information about what The B.L.O.C.K. Canton Leisure Services is once again hosting a special fundraiser that will benefit the Canton Historical Society. Event sponsors include:  Holiday Market; Liberty Street Brewing Company; Canton Brew Works; Alphagraphics; Kennedy Nemier Insurance Agency Inc.; Choice Insurance Agency; Edward Jones Investments; Busch’s Fresh Food Market; J.B.’s Smokehouse and BeerFests.com.  The 9th Annual Brew, Brats, & Bands at the Barn fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 6 - 9 p.m. at Preservation Park, 500 N. Ridge Road.
Each 21 and over attendee can choose from a wide variety of specialty beers. Participants will also receive a commemorative mug, while supplies last. Entertainment will be provided by “Standing Room Only” and “All Directions.”  Tickets are $30 at the door. A Designated Driver ticket is $10. For more information, call 394-5360.

Michigan Trail Week

To celebrate Michigan’s vast and varied network of trails, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, mParks, and the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance have designated September 22-29, 2018 Michigan Trail Week.  With its Trailhead located on Morton Taylor Road at Michigan Avenue, the Lower Rouge Trail is the perfect trail system to explore during this special week for hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. So, grab your friends and family, head to these Canton trails, and let the adventure begin. The Village Theater's New Season

The Village Theater at Cherry Hill 2018-2019 season features a variety of talented performers, all offering a wide range of unforgettable cultural experiences. Youth Lacrosse Player

Spring Boys Lacrosse

Registration for Boys Spring Lacrosse is now open for all returning players and new Canton residents.  New non-resident players may register starting October 1.  Team spots are limited. This season will run March 1 to June 7 and will consist of league games and two tournaments.  Players must supply their own equipment.  Uniform is included in fees, which are $300 for Canton Residents and $360 for non-residents.
