Erth's Prehistoric Aquarium Comes to The Village Theater This Month

Witness the ocean’s underwater world come to life on Sunday, February 16, starting at 6 p.m., when Erth’s “Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure” appears on the Main Stage at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill. Get a sneak peek here in this promotional video.  This immersive experience invites audience members to jump in and explore unknown ocean depths where prehistoric marine reptiles lived eons ago – and maybe live still today!  Erth shows are at the forefront of family entertainment, using actors, technology, puppets, science and imagination to create an amazing visual experience that connects young audiences to the real science of paleontology.
VIP tickets are available that offer an exclusive pre-show meet and greet with the show puppeteers and magnificent puppet-creatures, photo taking, and an official Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure merchandise item. VIP activities begin at 4:30 p.m. 

Tickets for this event are $30 - $50 each and can be purchased online, or in person or by calling The Village Theater Box Office Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 734-394-5300. Any remaining tickets may also be available for purchase at the box office one hour prior to show time.

Canton Cares Fundraiser

Chili Cook Off Fundraiser To Benefit Canton Cares Fund 

Women’s Life Society, Chapter 827 and Chicks 4 Charity will host a special Chili Cook Off fundraiser to benefit the Canton Cares Fund on Sunday, February 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Summit on the Park Banquet Center, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Canton welcomes area residents to come sample and vote for Canton’s Best Chili. Local area restaurants will be on hand showcasing their finest and tastiest Chili. This tasty fundraiser is all in support of a great cause to better the well-being of the Canton Community. The Chili Cook Off will be held to benefit the Canton Cares Fund, which is a 501© (3) Fund established through the Canton Community Foundation, that will specifically aid the Canton Police and Fire Departments, while recognizing the “above and beyond the call-of-duty” of our first responders. Off Season Farmers Markets Return to the Summit on the Park This Month

The first of three monthly Winter Markets will be held on Sunday, February 23 in the Summit on the Park's Banquet Lobby, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Markets are also scheduled for March 22 and April 26 at the Summit; all with special winter market hours from 10 am - 2 pm. Over a dozen local vendors will be featured at the Market. Canton Pavilion Online Rentals

It's not too early to think ahead to spring and summer!  Online reservations are currently being accepted online reservations from Canton residents for its open-air pavilions.  Only online bookings from Canton residents will be accepted at this time.  Starting March 2 at 9 a.m., Canton residents may submit phone reservations by calling 734/394-5310, however online reservations are still encouraged.   Online or phone reservations for non-residents will be accepted starting March 31 at 9 a.m.  Payment is due at time of reservation. Village Theater Call For Artists

The Gallery@VT would once again like to invite area artists to apply for a group or solo art exhibition for the 2020 season. The Village Theater is interested in featuring a diverse group of artists of all mediums. Submission will be juried by an exhibition committee comprised of local artists, arts professionals, and art educators. Please be advised that you are ineligible if you have had a Solo Exhibition at the Gallery@VT within the last 5 years. Submissions are due by April 8, 2020. Mark Your Calendars for March 21

Calling all moms!  If you're looking for some great bargains, be sure to come to Canton Leisure Services Mom To Mom Sale on Saturday, March 21 at the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Find over 65 booths featuring gently used baby and kids clothing, shoes, and more from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - all at a fraction of the cost!  Admission is $2 from 8-9 a.m. and $1 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call 734/394-5460.

Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues

Greater Canton Youth Baseball and Softball Association (GCYBSA) will accept registration for its Spring 2019 now through March 15 for girls and boys ages 4-18. Programs include: Small Ball, T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch, and Girls Softball. Register online.  For additional information, email gcybsa@canton-mi.org.

Pheasant Run Golf Club

Golf Leagues Now Forming

Pheasant Run’s golf leagues are now registering players for the 2020 season. League play starts in May. Registration is currently underway. Each week two teams of two players will play 9 holes and rotate times to play in different groups.  Sign up today by calling 734/397-6460.
