This lively evening of entertainment will benefit the Partnership for the Arts and Humanities, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the growth of cultural arts in the Canton community. This fundraiser will begin at 7 p.m. with a reception featuring sample appetizers from: Karl’s Cabin; The Post Local Bistro; and the Rusty Bucket. In addition, event participants will receive special promotions from Showroom of Elegance and Indigo Salon & Day Spa.
“Every year we host a fall event at The Village Theater, said Jill Engel, Executive Director of the Partnership for Arts and Humanities. “We take a look at the schedule for the season and our previous performers, then try to come up with something new that patrons of all ages will enjoy. This year, we are super excited to have The Remedy Band joining us! Karin Elizabeth is amazing at engaging every type of crowd that she performs for. They perform all of the favorites that we love to sing along to and dance. This is their first time at our Canton theater and whether you are 20 or 70 years old……you will love them!”
The festivities continue with a special “Got Fiddle?” concert at 8 p.m., featuring Karin Elizabeth and the Remedy Band. Featuring the extensive use of the electric violin and fiddle, as well as female and male lead vocals with five-part harmonies, Karin Elizabeth & The Remedy Band is as unique as it is engaging. Karin Elizabeth & The Remedy Band features many popular cover tunes from the sixties through today, as well as many one-of-a kind covers of songs that positively fascinate. Karin Elizabeth & The Remedy Band has the charisma and positive energy that will create and retain a crowd, and get them on the dance floor and having a great time in no time!
“The Remedy band has been around for about seven years now, and we are known for our high-energy interactions with the audience and musically accurate performances,” said featured artist Karin Elizabeth. “No show is complete without the audience being on the dance floor and having a great time! Our band is known for its variety, as well as doing unique covers of show-stopping songs such as ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia.’ Audiences can expect to listen to great tunes but also participate, big-time!”
This night is made possible with invaluable support from event sponsors, including: Jack Demmer Ford, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, Toll Brothers and Aisin World Corp of America.
