Duties of the Special Enforcement Unit
The Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) is comprised of designated full-time police officers with the primary duty of traffic enforcement throughout the community. Utilizing Harley Davidson motorcycles and semi-marked patrol cars, SEU officers respond to traffic complaints generated by residents, as well as areas identified by personnel as dangerous or in need of special attention.
Filing a Traffic Complaint
Recurring traffic complaints can be reported by calling 734/394-5400 (at the auto attendant press 2, and then 1 for dispatch). Recurring complaints can include vehicles speeding through school zones, stop sign violations, or speeding in residential areas.
