The Canton Historical Society was formally established in 1977 and began its first major project, the acquisition and renovation of Canton Center School as a museum. To learn more, please visit the Canton Historical Society website.
The CANTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY has been awarded $25,000 from the Michigan Nonprofit Relief Fund, established by the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).
We are excited and honored to receive this grant so that we can provide opportunities for all community members to celebrate and learn about our shared history. Whether you are a long-time resident, recently moved to Canton, or just visiting our community, we believe you are part of Canton’s history. We are so thankful for these funds to assist our program and for the support of our community members.
